Each individual will

  • Complete a final, polished draft of your Internet Technology Paper (1200-1400 words + bibliography). Post a PDf copy of your paper on your weblog so that other students in the class may see it.
  • Write a Process Memo (500 word minimum).
  • Bring a printed copy of the final draft of your paper and Process Memo to class for submission to the instructor.
  • Read Chapter 5: Typography (160-197) in Zen of CSS Design.
  • Post a reading response to your individual weblog in which you reflect on some of the concepts in the reading.
  • Read Cory Doctorow's Scroogled (note that there are multiple pages to read through).
  • Post a reading response to your weblog in which you consider the following: Google has historically prided itself on the company motto of "Don't be Evil," a motto which is portrayed as seriously in doubt in this science fiction short story. Discuss ethical and moral implications of Internet technology implementation, use, and policies (perhaps individual or corporate) which writing and communication professionals such as yourself should consider. You might talk about either current Internet technologies and implementations and/or ones which seem possible in the future (such as in Doctorow's story).
